Our 2017 Winter Retreat was held at Lake D’Arbonne on January 13-15th. This year our theme was “When I See The Cross”. We focused on what we should see whenever we see a cross.
The image of the cross is so prevalent in our culture that we easily become numb to it. We may see it on the side of the road, or on someone’s jewelry and never think about what it means for us as Christians.
We had three lessons focusing on what we should actually see:
- When I See The Cross… I See My Sin
- When I See The Cross… I See My Savior
- When I See The Cross… I See My Service
Everyone had a great time getting away from the rush of college life in order to focus on God for the weekend. Please continue to pray for our students as they wrap up the Winter Quarter.
“But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” -Galatians 6:14
